We would love for you to do something as sensible or a zany as you see fit to raise money for Access Community Trust. Last year Alex jumped out of a plane for us, Dave grew a rather interesting moustache for sponsorship and Eleanor invited all her friends round for tea and cake and raised money in the process.

We would love to hear what ideas you have to raise money and will support you with advice on making sure your fundraising is a success!

Corporate Support

We are keen to work closely with local businesses and there are many ways in which you and your team could help support the work of Access Community Trust here's just a few examples:

  • • Perhaps you are able to organise a staff fundraising activity such as an office cake sale.
  • • Maybe you would like to arrange an employee volunteer day at one of our schemes to assist with a task such gardening or decorating. Not only will you be helping the community in which you work but it will also be an excellent team-building activity.
  • • You could put a collection box in your reception area or staff room or you use one as a swear box in the office.
  • • If you are a supplier of produce you can donate unwanted stock items as Gifts in Kind. We welcome donations of food items that are distributed across our housing schemes which helps to reduce our catering budget.
  • • If you have expertise in PR & Marketing, photography or IT and would like to offer your services pro-bono you could provide the expertise that we do not have in-house.

There are many more opportunities too and we would welcome to discuss how Access Community Trust can work in partnership with your business, please contact Emma Ratzer on 01502 527204 or email

Churches & Faith Groups

We welcome donations of food from your harvest festival and Christmas collections. We also encourage groups to set up a donations box throughout the year for your parishioners to donate tins and packets of food as well as toiletry items that are distributed across our supported housing schemes and drop-in centre.

We are always happy to come and speak in a service or to a group of your parishioners to inform you about the work we do to help our community.

Schools & Colleges

We are eager to come and meet the staff and pupils at local schools and would welcome an invite to talk in an assembly or deliver a formal session within the classroom. Our training department have developed a number of interactive sessions for schools and our experienced team from Access Community Trust can deliver these in your school.

We would be thrilled if your school was able to fundraise for Access Community Trust and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your ideas further.

Last year a local high school hosted a Sponsored Sleepover over which was a fantastic success! The students took part in various activities over the course of the night to learn more about the issues of homelessness and after making their own makeshift shelter for the night they bedded down in the school hall and had a first hand experience of just some of the problems people face who are sleeping rough at night. We are keen to get more local schools involved in this project which is a key way of engaging young people to really think about homelessness and also provides an opportunity to raise money for our work.
